I hope add a week or so to my vact. overseas. I plan to have dental work done, and get a DR. note not to fly?

I am given 2 weeks off, but I hope to extend my vacation with a Dr.s Note of some kind. I am paid hourly, so I hope to just lose the pay from work with out having to file some kind of workers com/ dispablity. I would like to just show my boss a note from the doctor and say ” wish I could have been here, but Doctor said not to fly for 2 weeks”.
